Adding Rug in Bedroom Area as Decoration Idea
Some instruction bellow are just for assisting you to make you decorate your bedroom easily. Area rugs can be flexible accessories in a bedroom, particularly one with hardwood floors and as addition to bringing color, texture and style to a room, area rugs can be functional additions to a bedroom, particularly during long winter months when the floor is cold and remember to select rugs that match the decor and color scheme of your room can positively impact the look and strategically placing area rugs in your bedroom can largely determine the decorative and functional value of those rugs. Select the best rug that fit for your bedroom that is matched by size of the room, color of paint and furniture because appropriate rug with the room will add stunning for the bedroom.
Instructions are:
1. Decide which areas of your bedroom could most use an area rug and determine how many rugs you would like to place in your room. Consider placing rugs just inside the door of your room, at the foot of your bed and at the side of the bed at the spot where you step when you get up in the morning. Decide whether or not you want a long runner area rug in the center of your room.
2. Consider the size of your room when selecting the size and shape of your area rugs. Choose smaller rugs if you have a small room; over sized rugs in a small rug can create a cramped feeling. Lay down larger rugs if you have a very large room; this can help create a more intimate feeling in a big room. Choose simple shapes if you have a smaller room to keep the style streamlined and space-effective. Experiment with unusually-shaped rugs in a large room with space to fill.
3. Select rugs that complement the dominant color scheme of your bedroom. Consider the color of your walls, bedding and window treatments. Select colors that add to the visual makeup of your room. For example, if you have very light walls but dark bedding, choose a braided rug that blends both the dark and light colors in your decor. Rugs that don’t match the decor already in your room will detract from the style of your room.
4. Determine the fabric and material you want your rugs to be made out of–a room with mismatching materials and fabrics can be unattractive. Choose an area rug made of a lighter fabric if you have sheer curtains, for example. Choose a wool rug if you have heavy linen curtains.
5. Sew Velcro onto the underside of the rugs. Attach Velcro to the places on the floor where your rugs will be placed–an adhesive Velcro will work well for the floor, but will not stick to the rugs, making it necessary to sew the pieces onto the rug.
6. Lay your rugs down in the places you’ve designated. Smooth them out and make sure each of the Velcro pieces are lined up. Walk over the rugs to make sure they don’t slip.
