Chairs often placed close to the windows in order that we can get some benefits for the room. One of benefit is getting natural light. Beside that the room also prepared not only to have enjoyment for conversation but he most important aim is giving comfortable to the guest. Comfortable living room could source from the sofas or chairs. Getting comfortable living room sofas are having tips to set the sofas that can we do by ourselves.
/> 1. Measure the dimensions of your living room and transfer those measurements to quarter-inch graph paper. Draw in the walls so that you can see the placement of windows, doors, pass through, door swings, built-in cabinets, columns and other features. Be sure to measure and draw in the fireplace if you have one.
2. Use the furniture template to create scale-sized furniture that will fit with your graph paper. Draw along the inside of the template in pencil and then cut out the drawings with scissors. The template should have examples of standard furniture pieces. Make sure you cut out at least three different pairs of chairs from the narrow dining room type chair up to the lounge-style wide upholstered chair with arms.

3. Cut out an area rug that is scaled to be 10 by 12 feet. Use this area rug to anchor your primary seating area. Generally this will be positioned facing your main focal point. If you have a fireplace it will usually be the fireplace. Other focal points can be large windows or the wall with the television.
4. Position the rug so that there is at least 5 feet of walking room on the three sides away from the focal point. If your room is less than 15 feet wide, you may need to position your main sofa against the wall opposite or adjacent to the fireplace. Try reducing your rug size. When planning your furniture placement, keep in mind that you need 3-foot walkways from all doors to all other doors in the room. These pathways are like highways; if you place furniture incorrectly, walking through the room will feel awkward.

5. Position two similar chairs in an L shape to the sofa if you have a larger room. If your room is long and wide the normal position is a shallow U shape with a chair on each end. Try each of your pairs of chairs to see how each fit in the space. When possible create a secondary seating group away from the first with a small table for reading.
6. Place unusual chairs close to an adjacent table for people to rest their drinks. An unusual chair is often a focal point so try not to place the chair where it will compete with your fireplace. Look for an empty corner, a bay window or a niche area where the chair is center stage of that smaller space. Chairs with low backs and no arms look less cluttered and work well if there is a good view outside. They are less comfortable for long sitting.
